5 centai coin: diameter - 24.40 mm, thickness - 1.35 mm, weight - 1.4 g. The 5 centai coin has an ornament shaped as a wind vane. The central element is a leaf. On top of the ornament is a cross. Both sides of the leaf have a decorative element, a small snake. Below are two small angels blowing trumpets. REF 5 centas coin Source: lb.lt The obverse of the coin carries an image of the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Lithuania (Vytis) in the centre and the inscription LIETUVA under it. Below is the year of issue. The coin has a rim, the inner side of which is plain. The reverse shows the number 5 on the right side. To the left off the number is an ornament shaped in the form of weather-vane, the central element of which is a leaf. On the top of the ornament is a cross. On both sides of the leaf there are decorative elements—small snakes. Below, on both sides off the leaf stalk, are two figures of angels blowing trumpets. In the bottom part of the coin the inscription CENTAI is positioned symmetrically to the vertical axis of the coin. The coin has a rim, the inner side of which is plain. Specifications: diameter — 24.40 mm; thickness — 1.35 mm; weight — 1.40 g. Material: aluminium. The edge of the coin is plain. The designer of the coin is sculptor Petras Garška.
