1985-1987 - Calgary Winter Olympic Coins
The Royal Canadian Mint issued 10 Twenty Dollar ($20) coins From 1985-1987 to commemorate the 1988 Calgary XV Olympic Winter Games. These coins were issued in Proof quality only. The mintage was limited to 5,000,000 coins and this would mark the first time that any silver coin had edge lettering on it. Each coin weighted 34.107 (grams) with a composition of 92.5% Silver and 7.5% Copper.
